This temple is at Alapuzha.
There is a story connected with the Moolavigraha of this temple that it was
brought here by a devout Sannyasin. Kashiram Bhat, a pioneer of this area,
marked a place for himself in the western agrashala of the temple and
established his statue there to mark the construction of the temple. Much of what has happened in Alappuzha has
been connected with this temple. As a temple under the Gowda Saraswatha
Community, Manthra is considered more important than Thanthra here. Another
peculiarity is that all offerings and Naivedyam are made to the Salagrama.
