This temple is on the banks of the Vembanad lake, at Thaykkattussery panchayath on Chertala – Arookkutty road. The temple faces east. Along with Lord Mahadeva, Sree Ramaswamy at the time of his coronation, Sree Subrahmanya Swami and Sree Bhadrakali Devi are consecrated with equal importance. The Lord was brought here by the Brahmins who settled here during the invasion by the Aryans. When Sree Narayana Guru came to this place on his way to Alwaye to establish the ashram, he saw the three bhajan madams. He expressed his desire to bring them together. This desire was made real by the workers of the SNDP Yogam.
