Valiyasala Kavil Devi Temple, located in Thycaud, Thiruvananthapuram, was originally built by the Thekkumkoor Maharajas to honour the ancestral deity of the Thekkumkoor Royal Family. Now under the management of the Travancore Devaswom Board, the temple is also referred to as Kavil Ambalam or Sri Bhagavathi Temple. Its annual festival, Kavil Chirappu, is celebrated between December and January.
