The Sun and the Moon were
worshipped as deities during the Vedas. A temple dedicated to both
of them, an infrequent occurrence, is seen at Adithyapuram at Mulayankavil, in
Pattambi of Palaghat district. The temple can be reached by train on the
Shornur - Nilambur route or by road on Cheruplassery – Koppam route.
