Mololam Shiva Temple, located
in Chirakkal, Azhikode South, Kannur district, Kerala, is a centuries-old
temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The main deity, represented by a Shiva Lingam,
is enshrined in a chathura sreekovil (square sanctum) with a chuttambalam
(outer structure) and a namaskara mandapam (prayer hall). One of the notable
rituals here is the famous coconut muttu offering. The temple has a rich
history of over 600 years, making it a significant spiritual centre in the
region.
