This temple is at Azheekkal in
the Vypin Islands of Ernakulam District. It was built thirty years ago. At that
time there were only two temples, Mallikarjuna temple and Pallathankulangara
temple in the Vypin Islands. To make it convenient for all people to
worship the Goddess, the members of the Sabha started gathering in a shed to
offer prayers to the effulgence of Pallathankulangara Devi. It was near the
lake. Later some land was bought and the temple was constructed near the main road.
