Akamala Shree Dharmasastha Temple is located in Mullurkkara, Thrissur district, Kerala. The presiding deity is Lord Dharmasastha, who appears in this temple holding a bow and arrow. The Mandalam season and the first Saturday of each Malayalam month are particularly significant, with devotees receiving annadhanam (free meals) on these occasions. The main offerings at the temple are Elluthiri and Dhaara. Additionally, the ritual of Theeyattu is performed with great importance. The temple is situated along the route from Wadakkanchery in Thrissur to Palakkad district, passing through Chelakkara. Akamala Shree Dharmasastha Temple holds special significance for Ayyappa devotees, many of whom visit for Kettunira and Malaidal rituals before embarking more on their pilgrimage to Sabarimala. Daily poojas are conducted, and annadhanam is available every day for devotees. The temple is conveniently located along the Shornur-Thrissur road.
