This temple is situated in the heart of Ernakulam. It is more than 600 years old. In ancient times, it was under Itapradam Samooham which possessed lots of land and fields. In those times, the annadanam or food distribution was enjoyed by all the people in that locality. The temple was renovated in 2022. In the main sanctum Bhadrakali, Bhuvaneswari, and Bhairava are consecrated. Outside the sanctum are Nagaraja and Nagayakshi on the southwestern side and the Panchmoorthis of Anthimahakalan, Ailakshy, Vellam Bhagavathy, Durgadevi and Shasthav on the northwestern side. Khandakarnan also is consecrated here. The temple is under the Nethramangalam Family Trust.
