This temple is at Koothattukulam in Ernakulam district. Sree Bhadra, Sree Durga, Sree Dharmashasthhav and Sree Krishnan are the main deities. Yakshi, Bhuvaneswari, Ghandakarnan, Brahmarakshas, and Nagaraja are the subordinate deities. Legend says that during the Mahabharatha war, Arjuna chose a spot near this known today as Arjunan mala, to pray to Mahadeva to get the Pashupathastham. It was here that Shiva and Parvathy appeared before him and gave him the weapon. The Koothattukulam Sree Mahadeva temple was built where Siva and Parvathy stood at that time. When his daughter Bhadrakali came here, Shiva pointed to a hill and asked her to go there. The place where Bhadrakali
more sat became known as Onamkunnu. Later when the temple was under the Ambakkadu family they started worshipping her as Durga. Thus, the powers of Onamkunnu Bhagavathy came to be divided as that of Durga and Bhadrakali. The temple was taken over by the Sreekrishna Vilasam NSS Karayogam. After an astrological consultation in 1978, Durga and Bhadrakali were consecrated in two sancta. The Sree Krishna temple was constructed in 2017 and a renovation of the temple was carried out in 2021.
