This temple is situated at Mangadu in the small
village of Anoor, near Thiruvananthapuram. It is believed to be centuries old.
Rishis of old established this temple to guide the people in the path of piety.
Many flowering holy trees that surround the temple show how they wanted man to
be connected with nature. People of the older generation remember the huge
banyan tree and the Sarppa kaku (a small forest dedicated to the Serpents) that
was near the temple. Udayasthamana puja and guruthi are offered every day.
