This ancient temple is believed to have been built by the Pandavas when they passed this way. The name of the area has also been derived from the Pandavas. This temple was in ruins until about 23 years back when the Service Charitable Society was formed by the residents of the area and renovation of the temple was undertaken. A festival of six days commencing with the hoisting of the sacred flag has now been initiated with the approval of the Thanthris.
